We were all appalled by the way “The Last Supper” was reinterpreted by gay people during the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics. Those involved included Barbara Butch, an advocate for the inclusion of plus-size people known for her LGBTQ+ activism, as well as many contestants from the drag-themed reality show “Drag Race France.”

Although this reinterpretation of the Last Supper constitutes a mockery of Christianity, reactions in the French media have been almost nonexistent. How low Western society has fallen! It is to be expected that very little time remains before God’s judgment, just as happened in the case of Sodom.

But first, let’s see what actually happened at the Last Supper. During the meal, God Himself revealed His true character—one of holiness and love for His creation. It is a moment of intimacy between God and man.

First of all, Satan, through his agent, Judas Iscariot, was cast out from the table of the Son of God. Through this, God showed us that He cannot have fellowship with sinners, even though everyone—including Judas—was called to repent of their sins. Then the Bible tells us that “Jesus, knowing that His hour had come to depart from this world to the Father, and having loved His own who were in the world, loved them to the very end.” (John 13:1). He took off His outer garment, took a towel, and tied it around His waist. Then He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.” (John 13:4–5). What a display of service and humility! The Creator of the world and the Ruler of all things humbles Himself so much that He performs the lowliest of tasks—namely, washing the feet of those who had accompanied Him.

And that is not all God did. In the Gospel of Mark, we are told that the Lord Jesus, while they were still eating, “took a loaf of bread, and after giving thanks, broke it and gave it to them, saying: ‘Take, eat; this is My body.’ Then He took a cup, and after giving thanks to God, He gave it to them, and they all drank from it, and He said to them, ‘This is My blood, the blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many.’ (Mark 14:22–25).

And what is this new covenant? The prophet Jeremiah prophesied about it when he said, “I will put My law within them; I will write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be My people. No one will teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord!’ But they will all know Me, from the least to the greatest,” says the Lord, “for I will forgive their iniquity and will no longer remember their sin.” (Jeremiah 31:33–34).

The Lord Jesus did not think that He would be betrayed, or that He would suffer unjustly; rather, He thought only of others. He wanted to serve to the very end and to give His life for all people so that they might be forgiven and enter into fellowship with God. In other words, God, through His Son sent into the world, did nothing but good—He healed people, fed them, and, in the end, gave His life for them—yet people reject and even mock God’s grace. Is it any wonder what will happen to those who reject and mock God’s grace? For them, there remains only a fearful expectation of judgment and the flames of a fire that will consume them (Hebrews 10:27). The darkness of the abyss is reserved for them (2 Peter 2:7). They will be cast into the place of weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 8:12).

God has always judged the sin of homosexuality. For example, we learn from the book of Genesis that the men of Sodom were homosexuals and, moreover, extremely violent. Thus, we are told that when the righteous Lot took in the three men who had come to the city—without knowing that they were angels—in the evening, “before they had gone to bed, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both young and old, surrounded the house; the whole crowd rushed in from all directions. They called out to Lot and said, ‘Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so we can have our way with them.’ When Lot tried to reason with them gently, saying, “Brothers, please do not commit such wickedness,” they, in the wickedness and violence springing from the perversion of their lust, shouted at Lot, “Get out of here!” and said, “This man came to live here as a stranger, and now he wants to act like a judge. Well, we’ll treat you worse than we’ll treat them.”

The reality is that homosexuals are also extremely violent. A study conducted on the homosexual community revealed that 62% of homosexuals have been abused by their partners using an object as a weapon, 85% have experienced pressure and financial abuse from an angry partner, and 39% of homosexuals admitted that they were forced against their will to have sexual relations with a homosexual partner. It is likely that many became homosexuals precisely because they, in turn, were abused by other homosexuals.

In Sodom, all the men had become homosexual, and that is how they, their city, and their families were destroyed. All paid the price for their sin: the homosexuals for their immorality, and society for its indifference and tolerance of the evil that would ultimately destroy them. That is why it must be clear to us that even we who call ourselves Christians will not escape if we remain indifferent to these acts of mockery. (Hebrews 2:3).

But the New Testament also contains passages regarding homosexuality, the most relevant of which are found in Romans and Corinthians. In his Epistle to the believers in Rome, the Apostle Paul says of homosexuals that “God gave them over to impurity, to follow the desires of their hearts, so that they dishonor their own bodies. For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason, God gave them over to shameful passions; for their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise, the men also abandoned the natural use of women, became inflamed with lust for one another, committed abominable acts with men as with men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error” (Romans 1:24).

These relationships, which in modern language are called “sexual orientation,” are referred to by God as “abominable passions,” and He says that women have abandoned their natural use for one that is against nature—that is, they have become lesbians. Likewise, the men, burning with lust, committed shameful acts with other men and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

What is the due penalty for their error? According to statistics, the homosexual population in the U.S. makes up 2% of the total population, but accounts for 55% of those affected by AIDS. Therefore, homosexual practices are the primary driver of the spread of AIDS. Furthermore, 83% of the new AIDS cases each year in the U.S. are among gay men. This is proof that this sinful sexual practice is the catalyst driving the spread of the disease. The situation is the same in Europe.

The second passage is from Corinthians. Corinth was a city where sexual immorality had reached unprecedented levels. Near Corinth were two temples, one dedicated to Apollo and the other to the goddess Artemis; at one there were female prostitutes, and at the other, male prostitutes. And so, God sent the apostle Paul to this city to preach the Gospel: “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived about this: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.  And that is what some of you used to be! But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” (1 Corinthians 6:9–11)

Here, “malachi” are mentioned; these are men who are promiscuous with women, and these are men who identify as women in a same-sex relationship. Sodomites were those who went to the “malachi.” In verse 11, Paul says that some of them—even among those who believed—were like this, but they were cleansed, sanctified, and justified by the Spirit of God. Therefore, God was able to cleanse and sanctify these people. So, if you are homosexual and this disgusting passion has taken hold of you and you desire a change, there is hope, just as there was for the Malachiites and the Sodomites in Corinth. Scripture says that they were washed, sanctified, and then declared righteous. If these people were healed, you can be healed too.

But there are some who do not want to repent of their sins and remain under the threat of God’s imminent judgment. The gravity of their sins is evident in the fact that they not only practice them but also seek to impose them on the whole of society. Under the pretext of defending human rights, they impose their practices on everyone. These actions are not organized with the aim of defending rights or eliminating discrimination, but rather to promote these abnormal practices; behind these actions stands Satan, the enemy of humanity, who seeks to turn people away from God. They are promoted by the state, which thus becomes a persecutor of Christians, as has happened in Nordic countries such as Denmark, where the Church has been ordered by the legislature to perform same-sex marriages in places of worship. Any refusal to perform such an abomination will automatically become an illegal act, prosecuted and punished under the laws of the anti-Christian state.

We see how the Christian Church is under attack by a sinful and cunning minority that has managed to get its hands on the vast funds of certain leaders with occult aims, inspired by the devil who “has been a murderer from the beginning,” but God Himself will protect His Church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18).

These people do not know that they are being used by the evil one to fulfill his wicked purposes on this earth. They are easily manipulated tools, and that is why they are so highly promoted in society. But they are in great danger—the danger of being cast into the outer darkness. Hell was not prepared for people, but for the devil and his angels; yet all who follow the devil will be cast into the eternal fire (Matthew 25:41).

So if you are homosexual, do not delay, lest you wake up too late and hear God’s words of condemnation: “Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels!” Confess your sin before God, admit that you have been deceived by the evil one, and ask God for the strength to break every sinful bond in your life. He loves you and wants you to be His child and to take on His character. God is the only One who truly loves you and who can help you, but His help is limited as long as you live. Do not waste your life or walk in the ways of the wicked, but rather come to the Lord Jesus so that He may enlighten your life. If you are tormented by your sin and want to be set free, invite Him into your life: “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28–30).
