I am the Light of the world.
Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness,
but will have the light of life
Jesus, the light of the world
I am the Light of the world.
“There was a rich man who dressed in purple and fine linen; and every day he lived a life of joy and splendor. At his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores. And he longed to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table; even the dogs came and licked his sores. In time, the poor man died; and he was carried by angels into Abraham’s bosom.
“Behold, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and adversity. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His ordinances, so that you may live and multiply, and so that the Lord your God may bless you in the land you are about to enter and possess.
“Six days later, Jesus took Peter, James, and John with Him and led them aside by themselves to a high mountain. There He was transfigured before them. His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than any bleaching agent on earth could make them. Elijah appeared to them, along with Moses, and was talking with Jesus.
“The two angels arrived in Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting at the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he got up, went out to meet them, and bowed down to the ground. Then he said, ‘My lords, please come into your servant’s house, spend the night there, and wash your feet; tomorrow you will get up early and continue on your journey.” “No,” they replied, “we will spend the night in the street.”
