For this reason, the Jews began to persecute Jesus and sought to kill Him, because He was doing these things on the Sabbath. But Jesus answered them, “My Father is working until now; and I, too, am working.

The officers replied, “No one has ever spoken like this man” (John 7:46). In this context, the officers had been sent by the priests of Israel because the people were divided over Him. Some of the people said that He was truly the Prophet; others said that He was the Christ; and still others said that the Christ could not possibly come from Galilee^.

The Bible shows us how God, who is the Creator of all things, created the world through His Word. In the beginning, God made the heavens and the earth (Gen. 1:1) and created light (Gen. 1:3).

In the Gospel of John, we are told that when John the Baptist saw the Lord Jesus approaching, he testified about Him: “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29). But do we truly know who this Lamb is who takes away the sin of the world?

In chapter 22 of the book of Genesis we see the picture of God's love for us humans:

Jesus urged the Jews to search the Scriptures because they testify of Him (John 5:39). Of all the prophecies contained in the Old Testament, however, none comes close to the accuracy and beauty of the prophecy of Isaiah 53.
